Nothing says dependency like selling Canadian aluminum to the Americans, who turn it into manufactured beer cans, which they then sell back to Canadian breweries that now must raise prices not for the contents, but for the container. Bravo, Canucks!

Same goes for other drink makers here. Tariffs in both directions. This is straight out of a Monty Python’s Flying Circus skit. “This parrot (or trade) is no more! It has ceased to be!”

Why in the name of everything fermented or spritzed can we not make our own tin cans here from our own aluminum? How stupid and inept are we? No response needed.

We deserve this wakeup slap from the Trump Tornado down south.

AT LEAST NO CLOWN AT STAMPEDE

It’s not a good time to be recycled Liberal cabinet ministers. The majority of Canadians west of Ontario know the federal Liberals are the cause of lots of pain in Canada.

One good thing about the 2025 Calgary Stampede: It will not have a Mr. Dressup photo-op with the prime minister clowning about.

Canada should welcome Donald Trump at the upcoming G7 Summit in Alberta for getting “Governor Trudeau” to resign.

A NATION WATCHES OILERS

All Canada is rooting for the Edmonton Oilers in their quest for the 2025 Stanley Cup against the Florida Panthers. It’s a rematch from last year that saw Florida defeat the Oilers in a heartbreaking Game 7.

This year, more than ever, they’ll be playing with the weight of a nation’s pride on their shoulders. Canadians are praying they’ll see Edmonton’s Connor McDavid surrounded by coaches and teammates as he raises the Cup in triumph, something a Canadian team hasn’t done since 1993.

Go, Edmonton!
