Cocaine found hidden in wheelchair at O'Hare, CBP officials say

U.S. Custom and Border Patrol officials said a woman was arrested at O’Hare Airport in Chicago with cocaine hidden in her wheelchair.

CHICAGO (WLS) — A woman is facing federal charges after she was arrested at O’Hare Airport.

U/S/ Customs and Border Protection officers said Elaine Perez-Pena had $238,000 worth of cocaine hidden in the cushions of her wheelchair.

Customs officials said the cocaine was found in 14 vacuum -sealed packages underneath the wheelchair’s seat cushions.

The officers examined the wheelchair after Perez-Pena got off a flight as she returned from Brazil on Saturday.
