CARLA WARD has named her first Republic of Ireland squad – with FIVE players missing due to injury.
Ward begins her tenure in charge of the Girls in Green against Türkiye (February 21) and Slovenia (February 25) in the UEFA Nations League.

They will be without Louise Quinn, Tara O’Hanlon, Lily Agg, Jamie Finn, and Jess Ziu for the international window.
Meanwhile Niamh Fahey, Diane Caldwell and Julie-Ann Russell have all retired.
Ward has handed a first call-up to Charlton Athletic midfielder Melisa Filis, who qualifies to play for Ireland through her Mayo-born mother.
The February window will be the first set of six games, with Greece also in Group 2, as Ireland aim to seal top spot and qualification to League A ahead of the qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The squad will link up on Sunday, February 16 to begin preparing for the two games with sessions in the FAI National Training Centre.
