Did gardaí warn judge that court order to check Gript X messages could breach journalists’ rights?

An Garda Síochána has declined to say if the District Court was told issues of journalistic privilege could arise when a court order was sought to access the private messages of a conservative news website as part of an investigation into an assault on gardaí.
