MRS Brown’s Boys star Danny O’Carroll has said his incredible progress on Dancing With The Stars is down to his new girlfriend.
The TV star achieved his highest score yet last week for a Viennese Waltz which put him right behind leader Jack Woolley.

And while crediting dance partner Salome Chachua with his fancy footwork, he also finds inspiration from girlfriend Tina Wats who travels down from Donegal to attend every show.
Danny told The Irish Sun on Sunday: “It’s amazing, she (Tina) is incredible. Seeing her in the front row each week, giving me that little fist pump, and clapping me afterwards and blowing me kisses.
“It’s brilliant. She really is amazing. She is the most positive person I have ever had in my life and she’s so good for me.”
But the 41-year-old admits that being in Dublin training for the show, while Tina is back at home in Donegal has been very hard — particularly on Valentine’s Day as he trained for a special Love Week edition of DWTS.
Danny said: “The whole week coming up to Valentine’s Day was tough because I really wanted to be home but I had to rehearse.”
However, Tina made up for it by surprising him in Dublin this week with his two kids, Jamie and Blake.
Danny said: “I went back to my apartment and found my bedroom door closed and the washing machine on.
“I thought the cleaner had come in, but when I walked into the sitting room, I found Tina with my two kids, who were on mid-term break so they were able to stay down for a couple of days.”
And the dad-of-two admits his high-profile routines on DWTS has led to a number of offers.
But he said: “I didn’t sign up for DWTS to help my career. January and February are months when I’m not touring and it’s made my kids so proud.”
Danny admits he does get very nervous dancing for the nation each Sunday night.
He said: “It’s one thing dancing in front of a live audience but knowing that everyone you know is watching on TV. But once the dance starts, you forget about everything else for that one minute and thirty seconds.”
And Danny could have his whole family there if he makes the final.
Dad Brendan O’Carroll, who he paid tribute to on Dedication Week, could jet in from the US.
Danny said: “If I get to the final I might get a visit from my dad flying over from Florida.”
Tonight is Orchestra Night with the remaining seven couples performing routines accompanied by the RTE Concert Orchestra.
- Dancing With the Stars airs on RTE One tonight at 6.30pm.
