Bloomberg is doubling down on its original programming.
The company is launching a new financial series, Bullish, hosted by Sonali Basak.
The series will offer an insider’s glimpse into the world of finance with its titans and rising stars. The six-episode series looks to build on the brand’s global finance and markets-focused coverage. Each half-hour episode will air on Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg Originals and bloomberg.com.
Bullish will launch in May. Basak is Bloomberg’s global finance correspondent and anchor. She has been with the company for over ten years.
It is the latest original series for the brand after The Circuit and Posthuman, both hosted by Emily Chang, An Optimist’s Guide to the Planet with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Momentum with Haslinda Amin.
“Wall Street has evolved from being a ‘location’ into an interconnected global idea that represents the people, data and ambition driving finance,” said Basak. “On Bullish, the industry’s most important voices will help us untangle the complexities and behind-the-scenes details of the stories and personalities moving the markets. It’s actionable insight, produced with a distinctive energy and style, for a range of leaders and serious investors.”
David Merritt, Global Head of Media-Editorial at Bloomberg Media added, “Bullish will build on the global finance-focused coverage that we’re often most known for across live news and short-form. Our research shows a growing and wider range of business leaders who want added context on the financial stories that shape the markets.”
