Five years since Covid pandemic began, new report reveals total number treated in Irish hospitals for disease

More than 80,500 patients who were infected with Covid-19 have been admitted to hospital since the start of the pandemic – but numbers fell to 9,739 last year, down from a high of 32,512 in 2022, according to a new analysis.
