2025 feels like the year some of the best products are launching and there has been a few super skincare releases of late.
Makeup will get a mention in another post, but in recent weeks we have seen some fantastic creams, masks and primers hit the market, or have popped on our radar for the first time ever.
In no particular order, these are the five super skincare pieces we think you need to know about.
The Moisturiser – The Skin Diary Night Repair Therapy, €150

First on our list of super skincare is a cream with an Irish element. A team of consultant dermatologists including Dr Clare Kiely from Co Mayo, Dr Tamara Griffiths and world-renowned Emeritus Professor of Dermatology, Chris Griffiths OBE, have created this Night Repair Cream from years of research on skin ageing at the University of Manchester.
Research shows that 80% of visible ageing comes from sun exposure, and together they have created this cream that works to repair and reduce it it with peptides, Hyaluronic Acids, plant extracts and a non-irritating form of retinol.
The Primer – Guerlain 24H Hydration Gold 24K Radiance Booster Primer, €72.32

Dull skin no more, Guerlain’s Radiance Booster Primer is infused with 24k gold to give your skin a gilded glow, no matter how tired it feels. A hydrating formula, the primer blurs the look of lines, uneven skin texture and tone for all-day smoother skin.

The Milk – Violette_FR Boum Boum Milk Moisturising Spray, €50

Boum Boum Milk is French MUA Violette’s hero skincare buy. A toner, serum and moisturiser in one facial mist, it has a probiotic formula enriched with 38% lacto-fermented birch sap to instantly soothe, soften, hydrate and strengthen the skin.
Suitable for all skin types, including acne-prone and sensitive, Boum Boum can be used where needed and not just the face and neck. The formula has 99% naturally derived ingredients, and has won countless beauty awards for reducing skin inflammation.
The Mask – Fresh Floral Recovery Calming Mask, €52.50

For tired or stressed-out skin, there isn’t much this overnight soothing face mask can’t fix. Fuelled by botanical extracts like passionflower oil and cornflower water to soothe and calm redness, peony and cherry blossom work to smooth skin tone and texture.
Brightening vitamin C in a base of hydrating and replenishing squalane, the skin looks rested by morning. After cleansing, apply a decent layer on the face, neck and chest. Dry skin types can use it every night, for everyone else use it as needed.
The Complexion Booster – Caudalie Self-Tan Sun Drops, €21

Last on our list of super skincare is Caudalie’s new Self-Tan Sun Drops are the easiest way to fake a golden glow without damaging UV rays. Made from 99% ingredients of natural origin and free from fragrance and alcohol, the sun drops offer customisable tanning with your regular moisturiser.
A non-chemical self-tanning active gently colours the skin while grape extracts and glycerin keep the skin hydrated. Tailor your tan, choose one to three drops for a golden glow, or three to six for a deeper bronze heading into summer.
