The Big Four Roadhouse is free with admission to Stampede Park, providing 10 days of accessible live music, aside from a featured all-ages ticketed event on July 6. The all-ages night will include performances from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, MJ Lenderman and the Wind, The Paper Kites, Noeline Hofmann and Boy Golden. Tickets are available online.

The Calgary Stampede, running July 4 to 13, has secured country-music icon Shania Twain as the parade marshall, and added a new rodeo event, Ladies Breakaway Roping, hoping to outdo 2024’s record revenues and attendance.

The expanded BMO Centre and no rain days during the celebration contributed to 2024’s all-time best attendance figure of 1.47-million people.

“For ten days in July, Calgary has become The Greatest Music Festival in the West. With over 100 acts across four stages, the Calgary Stampede is the beating heart of the celebration,” Stampede officials said in a news release.
