A vehicle fled the scene of a four-car collision in northeast Calgary that left one person with minor injuries.

Around 1:03 p.m. on Tuesday, the hit-and-run collision occurred at the intersection of Barlow Trail and 23rd Avenue N.E.

“The driver of the offending vehicle fled after the collision,” said the Calgary Police Service through Signal.

Several vehicles were blocking multiple lanes at the intersection shortly after 1 p.m., according to YYC Transportation on X.

By around 2:30 p.m. traffic was flowing along Barlow Trail, with a tow truck and multiple vehicles pulled over onto 23rd Avenue N.E., according to a City of Calgary traffic camera.

A CPS spokesperson confirmed the scene was cleared, although not fully, around 3 p.m. The scene was fully cleared before 3:45 p.m., according to YYC Transportation.

A description of the suspect or vehicle that fled is not yet available and police continue to investigate.
