Crews reported making ‘good progress’ against the flames

San Jose firefighters responded to a call on Saturday afternoon at mobile home park in North San Jose.
Three mobile homes were involved in the fire, with a fourth initially threatened, according to a social media post from the San Jose Fire Department.
The time of the call was just after 4:15 p.m. A little over an hour later, SFJD officials reported that crews were making “good progress” on the blaze that occurred on the 500 block of Hermitage Lane in North San Jose.
At some point before 6:30 p.m, the fires had been put out at all residences.
“Fire knocked down at all affected residences. Crews will remain on scene to perform overhaul. No residents reported injured,” according to a social media post made at 6:23 p.m.
Although no injuries to residents had been reported, two firefighters did receive medical treatment.
“One firefighter evaluated after feeling ill and cleared. Another firefighter treated and transported for minor facial injuries after falling,” according to a post made at 6:04 p.m.
More details about the structures involved in the fire was provided earlier in the day.
“Primary unit heavily involved. One exposure with internal fire damage, the other limited to deck and roof. The fourth structure that was threatened had a fence catch fire but no structure damage,” the post on X reads.

Crews are battling a two-alarm blaze at a North San Jose mobile home park that has spread to three units, the San Jose Fire Department reported Saturday evening.
The primary unit in the 500 block of Hermitage Lane is “heavily involved,” but crews are making “good progress,” the department said on social media. Another unit has internal damage, while at the third unit, damage has been limited to a deck and fence.
“The fourth structure that was threatened had a fence catch fire but no structure damage,” the department posted.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at 4:16 p.m., and crews were still on the scene as of 6 p.m.
Neighbors and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
