Based on the reception glitches U.S. President Donald Trump got at the United Nations — i.e. the escalator and the teleprompter failures — I half expected him to kick the whole useless organization out of the United States because these two incidents obviously occurred to show their disdain for Trump and his wife. The UN is a joke and has been for years. They have this nice building in New York and the countries who belong send their delegates and staff who do absolutely nothing. In fact, perhaps I should correct that because they do quite often embroil themselves quite openly acting for the wrong side in many of the disputes that come before them. Other than that it’s just a nice way to spend a lot of money just enjoying a holiday in the U.S. If I was Trump, I would take the U.S.A. out of the UN and I would throw the whole kit and caboodle out of the country. They serve no useful purpose.

PM doesn’t speak for me
Mark Carney has declared that he, speaking for Canada, will recognize Palestine as a state at the UN General Assembly this month. Has there been a referendum on this big decision? No, I didn’t think so. If he is uninformed regarding international law as to the criteria required for statehood, he should decline to comment. There are no boundaries officially recognized, and no acceptable formal government in place for Palestine to receive statehood recognition by any country. Hamas is a terrorist group that has declared intifada on Israel. They will not stop.They also will not leave Gaza and the West Bank. For Carney to declare Canada’s recognition of the state of Palestine at this time, is no less than a full declaration that he supports Hamas and anti-Semitism. Shame on him.
