The Terrace River Kings, reigning Coy Cup champions, earned the 2025 title after a 5-4 victory against the Rossland Warriors in the championship final in Prince Rupert. The Dawson Creek Canucks are three-time Coy Cup champions, taking the title in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
“Welcoming the Coy Cup to our town is an absolute honour.” Dawson Creek Mayor Darcy Dober said. “It’s not just a game, it’s a celebration of community, teamwork, and the spirit of sport. We look forward to hosting players and fans from near and far, and we can’t wait to show you all the heart and hospitality our region has to offer.”

“It’s a privilege to welcome the top teams from across the province to our community, and we expect an exciting week of high-calibre hockey. We would like to thank BC Hockey for this opportunity and wish the best of luck to all the teams competing to qualify for the Coy Cup!”
The Coy Cup was donated to British Columbia Hockey by Colonel Coy of the 50th “Gordon Highlanders” Regiment of Victoria, B. C. and was first awarded in the 1922–23 season.
