Looking from the outside, it seems to me that Canada has taken hit after hit from the ol’ Trumpster and we are now in a position to give him back a little of his own medicine when it comes to the purchase of our new fighter jets.
I personally think we should tell him to kick rocks and throw in with the Swedish consortium that promises a much better deal for Canada in general, with the promise of opening a plant here.
All we hear is the need to diversify trade, and now here it is staring us in the face, so, Mr. Prime Minister, hit back where it hurts Donney Boy the most.
It’s that or sit back and take another slap in the face. Remember the old “Elbows Up” you sold us on?

NEED A WAY TO FIRE THEM

I couldn’t agree more with Mr. Drover’s opinion. Never in the history of this country have we needed the ability to fire politicians more. Ten-plus years of Liberal scandals are enough. Whether it’s because they’ve “turned”, are found to be embroiled in scandal, blatantly lied about what they’re going to do or proven themselves to be more self-serving than public-serving, we need a way to get rid of bad politicians.
By allowing them to stay, the distrust grows, the frustration grows and we continue to pay the price not just in salary and benefits but in their backing of projects or initiatives voters may not want.
How do we know the loyalties they claim to have for one party aren’t just a facade? Chris d’Entremont claimed to be a “red Tory”. To me, you’re one or the other, but not both. In my opinion, what he proved to be was a petulant child who got miffed because he didn’t get the job he wanted.
Having the ability to fire bad politicians shouldn’t just be for the federal level, but for all levels of government. We’re forced to pay taxes, therefore we have the right to proper representation.
