A cycling team has been left “absolutely heartbroken” following the tragic death of a rising star.
The cyclist, named locally as 18-year-old Aidan Worden, died following a collision between a car and a bike on Saturday, police said.

Worden was pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency service’s efforts to save him, according to Manchester Evening News.
According to the report, local authorities have launched an investigation into the collision, and specially trained officers are supporting Worden’s family.
Coach Joe Cadwallader said Aidan was well-respected as a cyclist and mechanic.
The teen was also a mentor to others on the team, saying he would be “very much missed”.
