AC/DC Announces European Power Tour for Summer 2024
Legendary rock band AC/DC are gearing up for an exciting summer with the announcement of their highly anticipated POWER UP European Tour. The tour will be the band’s first tour in eight years and will give fans an unforgettable experience in many countries.
The tour begins in Germany with two nights at the Veltin Arena in Gelsenkirchen on 17 and 21 May, followed by stops in Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Slovakia. The band will then play two nights at London’s iconic Wembley Arena on 3rd and 7th July, before heading to Belgium, France and Ireland with their final show in the park at Dublin’s Croke on 17th August.
The AC/DC tour features singer Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bassist Chris Chaney. The band is paying tribute to former bassist Cliff Williams, who retired in 2016 but joined them on stage at last year’s Power Trip Festival.
Fans can expect performances such as AC/DC performing classic hits and tracks. Their latest album is “POWER UP”. The band’s enduring popularity is evident with their 1980 album Back in Black being the best-selling rock album of all time. Their digital presence remains strong, with the video “Back in Black” having been viewed more than 1 billion times on YouTube.
