The Rajasthan government on Wednesday announced that a three-tier review will be held of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed under the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global investor summit held in Jaipur.
As per the state government, MoUs of more than Rs 1,000 crores will be reviewed by a team led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. MoUs between Rs 100 crores to Rs 1000 crores will be reviewed by a team led by the Chief Secretary and MoUs worth less than Rs 100 crore will be reviewed weekly at the level of Departmental secretary.

As per a release issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) of the Rajasthan government, MoUs worth more than Rs35 lakh crores were signed under the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investor Summit, out of which 261 MoUs worth around 32 lakh crores are of more than Rs 1,000 crores.
As per DIPR, 1678 MoUs of more than Rs 100 crores but less than Rs 1000 crores were signed, whose total worth is more than Rs 3.5 lakh crores, whereas 9,726 MoUs of up to 100 crores were signed, with a worth around Rs 90,000 crores.
During the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit, held in Jaipur from December 9 to 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest. He inaugurated the Global business expo at the summit and delivered the inaugural speech at the event. 32 countries took part in the mega event, out of which 17 countries were partner countries. The event, held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), witnessed participation from more than 5,000 industry and business titans, organisations, and investors.
Out of the participating countries, 17 partner countries included Japan, Switzerland, Singapore, Denmark, South Korea, Malaysia, Spain, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Nepal, Oman and Thailand. Other countries that took part in the summit included America, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ecuador, Paraguay, Finland, Russia and Zimbabwe.
