New dad Eric Roberts is on cloud nine as he continues to embrace the next chapter of his life.
After much debate about whether their baby would be a 2024 or 2025 baby, Eric and his wife Niamh welcomed their son on New Year’s Day.
Now the smitten dad has revealed his son’s adorable name and it has the sweetest connection to a special family member.
Fans of Eric’s work will be familiar with his cousin Óisin Roberts Brown who regularly appears in his videos and has Cerebral Palsy.
Eric has now revealed that his son’s name is Rían which is believed to have connections to the old Irish word for water. Very fittingly however his son’s middle name is Óisin, like his nephew.
Fans picked up on the name connection with one saying: ‘Ahh fab name, I’m sure Óisin will be delighted to see he’s name in there.’
‘Omg Oisin in the name, he’ll be over the moon,’ said another while a third said: ‘Little king… love it. And Osin will be delighted.’
Revealing the name Eric said: ‘Rían Oisin Roberts is coming home… Thank you for all the amazing messages this week it’s been overwhelming but incredible!
‘Thank you again to the amazing staff in Letterkenny University Hospital. I’ll be putting the phone away for a few days now to enjoy our bubble with Niamh and Rían.’
Rían’s arrival comes nearly five months after Eric and Niamh celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
The couple tied the knot at Harvey’s Point in Donegal in August 2023 with the bride looking stunning in a square-neck gown with long sleeves and a fitted skirt.
