QUEENS (WABC) — A body was discovered in the grass off the Clearview Expressway in Queens on Tuesday morning.
Passersby noticed the body along the northbound lanes, by exit 2, just before 9 a.m.
A disabled driver who had pulled over and a second motorist who stopped to help were the ones who made the discovery.
Those who live and work nearby were stunned to learn the body was tied at the hands and feet, and appeared to have head trauma – possibly from a gunshot wound
The victim appears to be a man in his 20s to 30s but his identity is not yet known.
The medical examiner will determine the victim’s cause of death.
It is not known how long the body had been in the grassy area before it was found.
