The 15th edition of Aero India, Asia’s largest aerospace exhibition, will be held at Bengaluru’s Air Force Station from February 10 to 14 with an emphasis on technology transfer and boosting India’s defence and aerospace ecosystem.

The biennial event’s theme will be ‘The Runway to a Billion Opportunities’, with a focus on underlining India’s ambition to become a global aerospace leader while advancing its indigenisation goals.

As per a defence ministry statement, the event aims to strengthen India’s defence and aerospace ecosystem, emphasising technology transfers, agreements, and partnerships to fast-track indigenisation, expected to cross Rs 75,000 crore to bolster India’s global position in the aerospace sector.

“The event will provide a platform for forging partnerships between foreign and Indian firms and the discovery of newer avenues in the global value chain to accelerate the indigenisation process,” the statement said.

February 10-12 will be business days for the event, while the public will be allowed to witness the show during the final two days on February 13 and 14.

Aero India 2025 is scheduled to witness numerous bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, focusing on deepening ties with partner nations, the statement added.

The Defence Ministers’ Conclave, under the theme ‘BRIDGE – Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement,’ will focus on fostering global partnerships, reflecting the shared vision of security and economic prosperity.

Furthermore, the dialogue between global aerospace leaders and domestic industry stakeholders during the event will target accelerating technology transfers and local manufacturing under the Make-in-India initiative, with self-reliance in defence production in focus.

People attending the event will be in for a visual treat as dynamic aerial manoeuvres by modern fighter jets, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles will enthral the gathering.

Since its inception in 1996, Aero India has emerged as a premier aerospace event globally. The 2023 edition of Aero India witnessed participation from 98 countries, 809 exhibitors, and over seven lakh visitors.
