Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar expressed his frustration with party workers during a visit to Baramati, delivering a sharp rebuke that has sparked discussions. At an event to inaugurate a petrol pump in Medad village, Pawar grew visibly irritated when workers attempted to hand him memorandums mid-speech.
“You voted for me, but that doesn’t mean you’ve become my boss,” Pawar said, his tone a mix of anger and exasperation.

He added, “I have been made a servant (salgadi) for you people.” However, Pawar balanced his remarks by engaging with the workers, acknowledging their grievances, and clarifying that the matter they raised fell under the jurisdiction of Cabinet Minister Hasan Mushrif. Pawar also assured them that he had already requested Mushrif to address the issue.
During his visit to Baramati, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar inaugurated various development projects. Ajit Pawar also attended the inauguration of a petrol pump in Medad village.
Despite such moments, he has remained a dominant political figure in Baramati. In the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections, Pawar secured a landslide victory, defeating his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra Pawar by over 1 lakh votes.
