At least 10 people injured in multi-vehicle Brampton collision

Multiple people have been injured in a collision that involved a Brampton Transit bus Wednesday afternoon.

Peel police say they were called to Queen Street and Hansen Road in Brampton just before 3 p.m. for reports of the crash.

The crash involved eight vehicles including the transit bus. Police say it’s still early in the investigation but preliminary information indicates the bus reportedly swerved to avoid hitting something and triggered the multi-vehicle crash.

At least 10 people have been treated by paramedics so far with one suffering serious injuries while the others are all minor.

It’s unclear how many people were on the bus at the time of the crash and how many of the riders were injured.

The intersection is closed and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
