Kentucky Fried Chicken is being uprooted from its ancestral home state in a shake-up announced Tuesday by its parent company that will relocate the chain’s U.S. corporate office to Texas. Incognito, who was accused of bullying Martin, his then-teammate and fellow offensive lineman in 2013, says the fallout from the scandal nearly cost him his NFL career. The incident began during the Dolphins’ 2013 season when Martin, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive tackle, took a leave of absence, claiming he was bullied and harassed by teammates, including Incognito. Fort Lauderdale commissioners were briefed on efforts to strengthen the structural integrity of the city’s new $100 million police headquarters Tuesday, which is currently under construction. The building, designed to be a three-story, rectangular structure, is facing several design issues that engineers and contractors are working to address. Texas-based Saronic Technologies announced Tuesday it raised $600 million in private funding to build an autonomous shipyard it’s calling Port Alpha. The company plans to use the facility to grow its fleet of medium- and large-class autonomous surface vessels amid demand from the Pentagon for more drones of all kinds, including ships. “It is going to be the most advanced shipyard in the world,” CEO Dino Mavrookas told reporters. “We’re going to build it right here in America.
