The National Women’s Soccer League will establish a $5 million fund for players as part of a settlement that stemmed from allegations of emotional and sexual misconduct that rocked the league in 2021. Attorneys general from Illinois, Washington, D.C., and New York announced the settlement with the league on Wednesday. The funds will go to players who experienced abuse. As many as 20 people were displaced after an apartment building caught fire in the northwest suburbs Tuesday evening, according to the Long Grove Fire Protection District.
