Several students of a prominent school in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar went on a road rampage after their farewell party. The students performed dangerous car stunts and fired shots in the air. A video of the incident went viral, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the matter.

The video showed around 70 people, mostly students, gathering near the BHEL stadium before forming a convoy of cars. The group caused massive disruption by performing stunts on the road, bursting firecrackers and firing shots in the air.

The students were still in their school uniforms when they engaged in such wild activities. Some of them even stood on the roofs of moving cars to record videos.

One video showed a person carrying a gun, turning to look at the camera before firing into the air. The video also depicted students leaning out of the windows as a convoy of cars moved in a line.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramendra Singh Dobal directed strict action against those involved in the act.

Subsequently, a case was registered against unidentified people under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Efforts are underway to identify the culprits based on the viral videos.

“A video surfaced on social media showing a group of around 70 individuals in 15 to 20 cars creating a disturbance and attempting to disrupt public order. We have taken note of the matter and registered a case under appropriate legal provisions,” a senior police official said.

The students participated in the chaos after attending a farewell party at a hotel in the Sidcul area. Local authorities have assured that all those responsible will be identified shortly and appropriate legal action will be taken against them.
