From Zendaya’s Bianca Jagger-inspired cream suit and hat to Demi Moore’s ‘pinstripe tie’ gown, we are still mulling over the best dressed celebrities from the Met Gala 2025.
On the beauty side of things, pretty much everyone stuck to a lightly smoked-out eye and a nude lip, and with a parade of mostly suiting in black, grey and white, it was a more subdued affair that it usually is.
That isn’t to say there weren’t some standout moments like Diana Ross appearing ensconced in a feathery coat, but when the theme is menswear, what’s a gal to wear? One small detail in Demi Moore’s makeup has us convinced that her lip combo is the ideal pairing for every occasion.
Met Gala Beauty
On the night of the Met Gala, the Charlotte Tilbury team created the red carpet look for everyone from Zendaya to Aimee Lee Wood, Megan Thee Stallion, and Demi Moore.
Lead artist Sofia Tilbury was on duty for Demi. On the night, she used Charlotte’s new Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette, which launched this year (€60), along with two Beautiful Skin concealers (four and seven) rather than foundation.
Demi Moore
Almost everyone else looked after by Team Tilbury wore the MUA’s new Lip Cheat Contour in Medium, but Demi Moore had a different lip duo.
Keeping with beauty’s hottest lip trend, Demi wore an overlined look to make her pout look fuller and more defined. Wearing the classic Pillow Talk lipstick, which never fails, Sofia made an easy switch-up on the lip liner so that the beauty hack worked like a dream.
Lip Cheat
For years, we have all used the much-loved Lip Cheat liner in the shade Pillow Talk, which pairs perfectly with the nude-pink lipstick of the same name.
The lip liner is universally flattering, and in recent years, Charlotte has added three new variations, from Fair to Medium and Intense, to suit different skin tones. To create that overlined definition, Sofia chose the shade Medium to contrast with Demi’s Pillow Talk lip colour.
Summer Makeup
A simple switch, the slightly deeper tone of the medium shade made Demi Moore’s lip makeup look much more modern.
Chic and sophisticated, we think it will be perfect for any occasion this summer.
