DMK mouthpiece Murasoli on Sunday slammed its ally CPI (M) following a speech by its state chief K Balakrishnan where he claimed that there is an “undeclared Emergency” in place in Tamil Nadu.

“Police are filing cases if a protest or rally is conducted. I want to ask Chief Minister MK Stalin if there is an undeclared emergency in Tamil Nadu. How could police act in such an unruly manner? Can you stop a protest just by denying permission and detention?” questioned Balakrishnan in his speech at an event on January 3 at Villupuram.
