Twain was last seen on or around Oct. 10, and was reported missing to Fort St. John RCMP on Oct. 12. Twain’s mother told Grande Prairie Daily Herald Tribune that RCMP asked for her DNA after a body was found in a burned car in the Kiskatinaw area earlier this week. “The waiting is unbearable. We just want answers and for Jesse to come home.”
Investigators have not confirmed whether the two cases are linked, but the timing and location of the incidents have made people related to Twain uneasy. Many have taken to social media in recent days to share RCMP updates and to express hope that both cases will soon be solved.
RCMP said they are not speaking publicly about any investigation, including missing Twain, or the homicide in the Kiskatinaw area involving a burnt grey Mazda.
“We aren’t confirming identities of anyone, and are working hard on the investigations,” said Cpl. Brett Urano Oct. 17.
As investigators continue their search for answers, friends and family say their only wish is for Jesse to be found and for the truth to come to light.
