Dublin v Derry: Match details, throw-in time and how to watch as Tally’s Oak Leafs take on Dubs in the capital

PADDY Tally and his Oak Leafs will be riding a wave ahead of their Croker clash with the Dubs this weekend.

The reigning National League champions held current league leaders Galway to a draw in Celtic Park last time out, which was the first point of Tally’s tenure as Derry boss.

Tally remained very results-orientated in the wake of their result against the Tribesmen but was still pleased for his players.

Speaking to Brendan Crossan after the game about what he liked best about the performance, Tally said: “I’d say the fightback. That’s serious heart. You’re nine points down [1-10 to 0-4] and you’re facing into your third defeat but they just wouldn’t lie down.

“That team didn’t want to get beaten. That was so important.

“I think if we’d lost that game it would have been devastating for those players, but they didn’t.”

Dublin are up next for the 2022 and 2023 Ulster champions with Dessie Farrell’s side after winning against Kerry by a point in Killarney last time out.

Farrell is following the method of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, fielding the same starting XV in their win against Kerry.
