Here’s a look at Friday’s Edmonton weather from Environment Canada.

It’s currently -17 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station, with 10 km/h winds out of the east northeast and a wind chill of -24.

There’s good news and bad news. The good news: Environment Canada has ended their snowfall warning, and the worst of the blitz is over.

The bad news is that the city of Edmonton’s extreme weather response is still active, and it’s not expected to end until 9 a.m. on Sunday.

As for the forecast, Friday will be a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of flurries blown in on 15 km/h winds and a high of -8 C. The winds will persist overnight as the temperature drops to -20 C. Saturday will be mainly cloudy, with a 40 per cent chance of flurries in the afternoon blown in on 15 km/h winds with a high of -9 C.

Be careful out on the roads and bundle up if you go outside!
