Giants’ Malik Nabers named to 2025 Pro Bowl Gameson January 27, 2025 at 4:54 pm

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers has been named to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games roster.

Nabers will serve as a replacement for the Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who backed out of the event due to injury.

Nabers, the sixth overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft out of LSU, joins defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence as the only Giants named to the game.

Nabers was previously named an alternate to the event.

Nabers had a breakout rookie year, setting a franchise record for receptions with 109 with 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns despite missing two games to a concussion. He is a finalist for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

According to Spotrac, “this Pro Bowl honor for Malik Nabers does not count for his 5th-year option calculation down the road. Those escalators are based only on original ballot selections, not alternates.”

So, the Giants will still get a fair deal for Nabers if and when the decision to exercise his fifth-year options arrives in two years.
