DALLAS — KFAA is now home to both the Dallas Wings and Dallas Mavericks!
The Mavericks joined the WFAA sister station at the beginning of this season, and the Wings will carry their games on KFAA starting this season, which begins in May.
We’ve already walked you through how to watch these games for free and how you can find KFAA with an antenna.
Here’s everything you need to know about watching each team:
How to watch the Dallas Wings on KFAA
In February, WFAA parent company TEGNA and the Wings jointly announced that all Wings games that are not designated for national television will be available for free over-the-air viewing on KFAA (Ch. 29) in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. (A select number of games could also be announced at a later date as airing on WFAA. For more information on how to watch Wings games on KFAA, click here.)
In addition to the KFAA broadcasts, ABC will nationally broadcast two Wings games this season: July 13 at the Indiana Fever and Aug. 12 at the Las Vegas Aces.
The Wing’s June 27 game against the Indiana Fever, which will be played inside American Airlines Center, will also air nationally on ION.

How to watch the Dallas Mavericks on KFAA
In September 2024, the Mavericks announced a partnership with WFAA to broadcast more than 70 non-nationally televised games for free during the 2024-25 NBA season. These games are being broadcast over the air on KFAA 29, WFAA’s sister station, formerly known as KMPX.
Several games this season have also been simulcast on both KFAA 29 and WFAA Channel 8, with more planned in the coming weeks.
