Jalen Brunson Cherishes Sharing NBA Experience with Former Villanova Teammates
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson finds it special to share the NBA court with former Villanova teammates Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo.
The rarity of three college teammates playing together professionally isn’t lost on Brunson. Having been roommates with both Hart and DiVincenzo during their time with the Wildcats, he cherishes the memories of their shared journey, from grueling practices to the pinnacle of college basketball – winning two national championships together.
“It’s something you don’t see every day, for sure,” Brunson exclusively told NBC. “It’s really special just because I’ve seen how hard these guys work and then to remember all the practices and things we went through in college just to see where we are now in our lives.”
Brunson, a 2024 NBA All-Star, was the 2018 National College Player of the Year at Villanova. Reflecting on the ongoing NCAA tournament, he shared his favorite March Madness memories and even offered his championship pick.
“I’m going to go with a Big East team to win for the men’s side — UConn is my prediction,” Brunson revealed.
The Huskies, the reigning national champions, are vying for their sixth title. A win would tie them with Duke and Indiana for fourth-most championships in NCAA history.
