Joel Connolly into knock-out stages of European U18 Snooker Championships in Turkey

BELFAST’S Joel Connolly has cruised through to the knock-out stages at the European U18 Snooker Championships in Antalya, Turkey.

Connolly won all three of his best-of-five group matches, defeating Mario Velichkovski of North Macedonia, Serbia’s Jovan Kutlesic and Anton Sorin of Romania without dropping a frame and recording breaks of 85, 66, 58, 50, 44, 44 and 42 and 40.

He will play in the knock-out stages on Wednesday evening.

Ryan Dornan, Conor Doran and Will Taylor were all eliminated before the knock-out stages.
