Alberta’s time
The State of Canada. I have never felt so depressed about the state of Canada with rising crime, rising cost of living, rising unemployment, exploding national debt, out-of-control immigration and ever-increasing social division. You can blame Trump all you want but these problems existed before he came back into the picture and the problems will exist after he is gone. I am sure the Liberals will blame Trump for their failed policies for the next 10 years just as they shamelessly still falsely accuse Stephen Harper after 10 years of their incompetence. If Alberta wants a better future, it won’t happen with Ottawa and our current constitution, which is constantly under attack by the Liberals to turn things even more to their ideology. Alberta must take the bull by the horns and take control of our own destiny. Take a step back, educate yourselves and take a good hard look at what is happening to our country. Our children and grandchildren are counting on us to do the right thing.

BILL GRANT
(There are some definite issues here, but we’re not ready to give up on Canada just yet)
High standards
Rigid and recognized standards of any occupation/profession that has been established to serve the public in all areas of public safety cannot be compromised to accommodate specific target groups or meet arbitrarily defined quotas. Only the most qualified candidates who meet the recognized standards of the occupation/profession must be employed in delivering these services, whether it be policing, fire services, paramedic services, or other health-related services. It does not matter what the gender, culture or race of the candidates is. What does matter is that whenever a serious emergency arises, in any of the areas previously specified, that they are addressed by the very best of the best as our health and safety and lives depend upon it. The taxpaying public has a right to expect nothing less.
