MAC is a great brand for clever mascara; volume, length, curl, whatever you want your natural lashes to look like, the brand has you covered.
When the brand launched MACStack Mascara, fans couldn’t get over how easy it was to build the lash liquid as much as you want depending on your mood and look.
One coat is great for everyday makeup, but add two, three, or even four more layers and you look ready for a red carpet. The formula never felt dry or flaky, and fans became devotees. Now there is a new version that adds volume but also an instant lift in lashes that goes beyond what you would hope for.
MAC Elevated

The new Elevated Mascara has just launched at Boots for €20, a full €12 off the regular retail price, but probably not for long. It has a two-sided brush, one side for separating, lengthening, and catching every lash, no matter how small.
Flip it over to deposit lots of formula onto the lashes to give that fullness MACStack is famous for. The shape of the brush is also important. Curved like a gentle S, the new Elevated mascara helps to coax your lashes to new lengths giving that false lash effect.
The Formula

Naturally, the formula of the new mascara is important too, it needs to be long-wear, clump and flake-resistant for us to love it. MAC has made a liquid for Elevated that is 91% naturally derived ingredients.
It contains Argan oil and plant extracts like carnauba wax that keep the lashes hydrated and conditioned so the mascara never feels dry during the day. It is also these ingredients that allow for extra layers to be applied as the mascara stays soft and malleable for longer.
Where To Buy

As we said, Boots is the best place to get the new Elevated mascara before it returns to the full price of €32 soon. The mascara is perfect for summer as it’s resistant to heat, humidity and clumping.
It doesn’t smudge either, something else that’s important in the hotter months. We are tipping this for ‘Best of Beauty’ awards at the end of 2025, MAC knows how to make mascara.
