Toronto Police allege the accused stole the extinguishers from various properties between November 2023 and this month, then sold the stolen property using several online platforms.
Police said that following the arrest, seven fire extinguishers were allegedly recovered and seized as evidence.
“By removing essential fire safety equipment, the accused is alleged to have endangered residents and the general public by leaving them without a critical means of protection in the event of a fire,” police said in a statement released Thursday.
