According to Dallas PD, a man was killed following a shooting on N. Harwood St.
DALLAS — A man was killed and a DART train was hit by gunfire after a shooting in downtown Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.
DPD said the shooting happened around 3:50 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2024 in the 400 block of N. Harwood St. in downtown Dallas. According to police, one man was shot and he died at the scene. The victim was later identified as Didier Orea, 20, police said in a press release.
According to a spokesperson with DART, a Red Line train was struck by gunfire during the shooting. The spokesperson said no passengers were injured, and that train was deboarded at Union Station. A DART spokesperson confirmed that the train was taken off the line and will likely be investigated by DPD.
On Friday, Jan. 24, Dallas police said they arrested 30-year-old Tramine Johnson and he was charged with murder. His bond was set at $1 million.
