A man was stabbed Tuesday morning in Pembroke Pines and the suspect has been taken into custody, authorities confirmed.
According to Pembroke Pines police, the stabbing occurred in a shopping plaza in the 7600 block of Pines Boulevard.
Surveillance video from a nearby restaurant shows one man chasing another man while holding a knife.
An employee from a store in the area told Local 10′s Michaila Hightower that the suspect had just purchased the knife there.
According to police, the suspect stabbed the victim, who ended up on the ground in the middle of a lane on Pines Boulevard.
The victim was transported to a local hospital while the suspect was taken into custody.
A witness told Hightower that the suspect had previously been bullied by the victim.
“He was being bullied by that guy,” the witness said. “So you know, he picks on the guy every day about something.”
Police did not confirm the motive for the stabbing, and the identities of the suspect and victim have not yet been released.
