A Missing Child Alert was issued Tuesday night for a 14-year-old girl last seen in Hallandale Beach, police said.
According to investigators, Jaylise Santana was last seen near the 930 block of South Eighth Street.
Jaylise is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds, detectives said.
Police said she was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants or shorts, and black Crocs or sneakers.
They said she may also be wearing a black hoodie and a gold chain necklace with her first name on it. Investigators also confirmed that Jaylise has a scar on her right knee.
According to her family, Jaylise left home following a disagreement with her mother.
“A notebook was later found containing concerning messages indicating possible self-harm, raising serious concerns for her well-being,” authorities wrote.
