The car — launched five years ago by Elon Musk in the US, where prices start at £60,000 — cannot be sold in the UK because of design and safety laws covering its shape, wheels and lighting.

But one was imported on Albanian number plates by celeb car customiser Yianni Charalambous, who is modifying it on his YouTube channel.

Transport campaigners have warned the monster Cybertruck, which is 223 inches by 86 inches and weighs four tonnes, is too big and sharp for European roads.

Modifications he has had to carry out include swapping red indicators for amber, adding fog lights, new wheels and covering sharp steel edges with rubber.

Yianni said in his latest video: “We don’t actually know what the legal requirements are to drive this car around in the UK.

“I have got proper insurance.

“The car is registered.

“The car has been passed with number plates from Albania.

“You can drive an Albanian car here as well as an Italian, a Spanish, or a French car.

“Who knows. I’m sure I’m going to find out eventually because of the amount of attention this car’s drawing.”
