A NUMBER of cheeky prisoners were caught red handed when a drone carrying contraband flew right into their jail cell.
A full investigation is now under way into the incident at Dublin’s Mountjoy Prison earlier this week.

It is understood the inmates had removed their cell window so that the drone could make its delivery.
But their secret smuggling op was exposed by an eagle-eyed prison warden who thought they were behaving suspiciously.
He then watched from a distance as the drone flew right into their cell.
Officers then raided the cell and captured the illegal cargo.
They didn’t disclose what was in the contraband.
A prison source said: “We have no idea how long they have been doing this but they had actually taken the window off the wall. Whoever was controlling the drone was able to fly it right to them.
“It is one thing flying in cigarettes, drugs and phones but the big concern is that one of these days they will fly in a gun.”
Prison bosses have been trying to disable the drones using electronic interference and nets so they can’t drop their cargo on the prison yard.
