Ottawa police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect allegedly involved in an assault in the early hours of June 24.

The incident took place on the 2800 block of Gibford Drive, around 1:30 a.m.

Police describe the suspect as a white man with a slim build in his mid-to-late 20s or 30s. He has short brown hair and a thin brown beard.

“At the time of the incident, he was wearing a pink Hawaiian-print shirt, grey shorts, black shoes, and a blue baseball cap worn backwards,” police said in a news release.

Police asked that anyone with information that could help identify the man contact the East Criminal Investigations Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 3566, or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
