Storm and Ronan Keating might have temporarily relocated Down Under but home for the couple and their brood is the mansion that they poured their hearts and huge chunk of change into renovating.
The £5m (€5.9m) house they snapped up just outside London looks unrecognisable from the run-down property they first showed fans back in 2019.
Gone is the ivy-choked ruin in favour of a sleek modern design that has been created to be eco-friendly with Storm documenting their progress over the years from the early days of quarrelling with builders to scenes from their family life as they enjoy the fruits of their labour.

One room that features heavily in their posts, from posing with the youngest members of the family, Cooper and Coco to serving as the backdrop to Christmas dinner is the open plan kitchen and living area.
The space features huge floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the home with light that was created to bring a connection to the outdoors.
‘We wanted to create large walls of glass throughout the house allowing us to see out of, and be connected with the surrounding landscape on every elevation.

‘We love nature and spending time in it plus having been inspired by contemporary Australian architecture, natural light was important to use also.
Some of the glass openings in our design span over 11m long, so concrete and steel reinforcement allows these design elements to work,’ Storm explained early on in the renovation project.
Other noticeable design features in the room include the large stone coffee table with a row of hanging gold lights bringing warmth to the space.

The room also boasts a large white sectional sofa that the family regularly poses on and a marble breakfast bar.
It’s also hard to miss the Yamaha piano that sits by the window and as you’d guess the room opens out into the garden which has been as thoughtfully considered as the interior.
That includes an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, and a gym as well as a dining space where Ronan has been spotted firing up the BBQ.

He has also spoken of the importance of creating an environmentally friendly home but it took a long time to get the project off the ground.
After snapping up the property in 2016, it was another 18 months before they received planning permission to create their eco-friendly design.

‘As time passed and our imaginations and research expanded, our dream home evolved into a completely zero-carbon home which harvests its own rainwater and waste also.
‘Our entire site with a swimming pool and tennis court will also be run via solar panels and air source heat pumps, making their energy output neutral also, we are so proud and excited he shared during the building project.

After purchasing the home nine years ago they knocked down the original property after learning that the structure wasn’t secure and that they would need to replace the plumbing.

One of the last steps was figuring out where to keep their cars and they eventually received permission to build a carport with four painted steel columns decorated with evergreen plants to help it to blend into the surrounding countryside.
They eventually moved in just before Christmas in 2021.
