The SAG Awards won’t be holding a live-in person announcement of the 31st nominations tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8, as Los Angeles grips with a massive wildfire.

“In an abundance of caution for the safety of our presenters, guests, and staff, the live in-person 31st Annual SAG Awards nominations announcement has been cancelled due to the wildfires and adverse wind conditions in Los Angeles,” read a statement sent late tonight from SAG Awards organizers.

“Nominees will be unveiled tomorrow at 7:30am PT via press release and the SAG Awards website. We look forward to celebrating these incredible actors and their work at the SAG Awards ceremony on February 23. In the meantime, we urge everyone to stay safe, and thank you for your continued support.”

SAG Award nominated actress Joey King(A Family Affair, We Were The Lucky Ones) and Golden Globe Nominated actor Cooper Koch (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, They/Them) were originally set to announce the noms tomorrow AM. In addition, tomorrow was set to kick off with the nominations for Outstanding Action Performances in a Stunt Ensemble by SAG Awards Committee members Jason George and Elizabeth McLaughlin. SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher was also scheduled to kick off the event.

The 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, produced by Silent House Productions in partnership with SAG-AFTRA, will stream live globally on Netflix Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall.
 
Award-winning actress and producer Kristen Bell is hosting. Jane Fondawill be presented with the Life Achievement Award, the guild’s highest honor.
