SARAH LAVIN stole the show at the National Indoor Championships in Abbotstown yesterday.
The Limerick ace won her seventh national indoor 60m hurdles title with a time of 8.11 to finish ahead of Molly Scott and Arabella Adekoya.
Lavin clipped the first hurdle but recovered to continue her national championship winning run.
Adam Nolan of Carlow defended his crown in the men’s event.
Olympian Sarah Healy also broke a championship record in the 1500m inside 4:12.37 and will run in the final today.
Meanwhile, Marcus Lawler looked back to his brilliant best en route to breaking the 200m championship record with a stunning 20.74.
Lawler has been in flying form this indoor season and broke Mark Smyth’s existing 20.77 record.
He said: “I was the form runner coming into these championships and I had a couple of PBs along the way.
“But it’s been a long time since I picked up a national title, so I’m delighted.
“I’m 30 in a couple of days’ time and that’s an indoor PB. I’m thrilled.”
Katie Bergin stormed to her first national senior indoor title with a superb performance in the 200m final to cross in 24.03.
