Surgeon at centre of spinal implants investigation in Temple St Hospital was acting with ‘good intent’, consultants body claims

The surgeon who fitted three children with experimental implants during spinal surgery was acting “with good intent and in the absence of effective structures”, the Irish Hospital Consultants Association (IHCA) said today.
