Ukrainian man accused of sexual battery in Sunny Isles Beach​on February 10, 2025 at 8:11 pm

Detectives accused a 26-year-old Ukrainian man of sexually abusing a 20-year-old woman who was drunk after partying with friends in Miami-Dade County.

Records show Andri Bobrovytskyi, who was born in Kyiv, was at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday facing sexual battery charges.

According to the arrest report, the alleged sexual battery was on Jan. 1 at a luxury 35th-floor apartment in Sunny Isles Beach.

According to the report, witnesses who had been celebrating New Year’s Eve with the woman reported that she was so drunk she needed help walking.

A North Miami Beach detective who speaks Russian helped translate communication between Bobrovytskyi and the victim during the investigation, police said.

Detectives arrested Bobrovytskyi shortly after 12:35 a.m., Monday, during a traffic stop along Collins Avenue at 176 Street.

Detectives reported questioning Bobrovytskyi who denied the accusations and correctional deputies booked him shortly after 3:30 a.m., Monday.

Bobrovytskyi is facing charges of sexual battery, sexual battery of a victim physically helpless, and false imprisonment.
