Ulster Championship Q&A: Ask the sports team anything

Championship season is a time of year for hope, optimism and speculation.

After a league campaign full of twists, turns and late drama, fans and pundits will have a clearer picture of where teams stand as they enter the fray of Championship football.

The first game of the season will see Donegal welcome neighbours Derry to Ballybofey in a repeat of last year’s quarter-final clash.

Donegal ran out convincing winners that day on their way to lifting the Ulster senior title and going on to reach the All-Ireland semi-final, where they fell to Galway.

Armagh will be in the hot seat this year as well, having been losing finalists the last two years on penalties and now defending All-Ireland champions.

Kieran McGeeney’s side will be keen to add a provincial title to their trophy cabinet and break the 17-year drought for the title of Ulster champions.
