Just spitballing here, but say you own a company — for the sake of argument, let’s call it Crown Royal — that is losing money. Is it the mandate of its board of directors to protect the shareholders by trying to stem the flow of red ink? Premier Doug Ford doesn’t think so. He certainly doesn’t agree with their solution. The only thing Ford is doing is providing the people of the province of Ontario, and by extension the people of Canada, with great gorilla theatre.
